    I bought the this sofa from Heartland, Mississauga showroom. The quality of leather is so poor that it started peeling off within 6 months. The leather started getting stretched from the stitches area, and started losing its color. I paid for the sofa in full, without any financing.     I purchased a 7 piece bedroom set, at the time of purchase I explained to the salesman that I wanted the 12mo 0% interest rate, well he put it in as 6mo at 0% interest. When the finance company contacted me and I asked I was told that I was on the 6mo plan, they said I had to return to the store to get it changed.   • Force you to keep defective furniture

    Be careful folks. Ashley Homestore is NOT on the up and up. We purchased a recliner loveseat on Feb 18. It was delivered a week later and proved to be defective by the gentlemen delivering it. We stated they should take it back and replace it. They suggested that we wait for a tech to call within the hour and see if they could send someone to fix it.     We purchased Ashley furniture specifically because it is American made, or at least more so than other furniture out there. We paid over 1400.00 for 2 recliners, and we also purchased the service protection plan offered through the store. After less than 3 years, material effects appeared, which ruined the chairs' appearance.     Purchased a sectional 3 years ago, couch is peeling, contacted Ashely, rep was sent out and stated by rep we could purchase a new set, went to Salem, Nh store approached by salesman Steve who was extremely rude!     I purchased a dining room table from Ashley Furniture in Albertville, MN. It has not even been a year and one person was sitting on the bench and it broke. They had a tech come out to look at it and was told they would call me within a week. Two weeks I heard nothing so I called and they told me the ticket was closed because it was customer damage.     Ashley Furniture is the worst store I have ever been to. I will never go back. I ordered a couch 2 months ago and have yet to see it. Also, when delivering other items, they never called the #'s given to them but yet did their own research and called my in-laws at 9:30 on a Saturday night to confirm. What is this about?   • Avoid this company at all costs!!!

    This is the worst quality of any furniture I have ever purchased. Whilst I accept it is not the most expensive, it is of such poor quality that i am not expecting it to last too long. I had to reject 4 out of the 5 sofas/settees that I received due to really poor finish i.e. a loose arm on one, sagging material on the sides and back. On one sofa arm they hadn't installed any padding, so you could feel all the wood frame under the material.     Less than two years ago we purchased a reclining couch, loveseat, and chair from our furniture store on base. They are supplied with Ashley Furniture products. We were told that the Durablend would last years on end!! We now are dealing with the fabric peeling on every single piece! We contacted Ashley, and they won't speak with us. We contacted MCX furniture, and they are trying to help, but Ashley wasn't the serial numbers.     I bought my sofa set almost 3 yrs ago with a protection plan and what a waste of 1600 dollars. We barely even used the set as we hardly were ever home to enjoy it and the sofas are peeling...material's frustrating to have to cover up my sofas that i spent alot of money on.     Do NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY'S. Four months after the initial purchase, I am still battling with them trying to get a satisfactory product.     Bought a TV stand for 58" flat screen. Looks nice made horrible. Worse furniture I've ever purchased...800.00 in not a real cheap stand, could of got one made better at Walmart for a couple hundred. I got it home and there was a big scratch on the front, the holes inside the doors for a shelf are at least 2" off so can't use them for the shelf.     We purchased a sectional sofa from Ashley Furniture just over a year ago, we were also foolish enough to buy the extended warranty. Please dont waste your time or your money shopping at Ashley Furniture their products are subpar to put it best and the warranty is nothing more then a piece of paper that covers nothing. The warranty states it covers rips or tears until you try to use it.     I set everything up so when i returned from vacation my new bed would be for me. I purchased a bed, chaise and night stand for $2500.     I will never in life buy furniture from you again. I ordred 2 rooms of furniture in January of 2012. The relciner started peeling and tearing in the first year. They repaired the chair. Buying furniture from Ashley was the worse buying experience if my life. I will NEVER give them a penny of my business again. I cannot even name all the issues I had, but I'll share a couple of the biggest ones. Delivery. What a mess! First, this large national furniture chain cannot even keep up with their own deliveries, so my sales person handed me the card of a local guy they work with and, as I was told, I was better off calling him to set up my delivery if I wanted my furniture within a week or two. So you have to set this all up on the side and pay this man cash when he delivers. What a pain! Let me summarize the rest of my issues. Part of order was back ordered. I could not be home the exact day and time they were going to deliver it a month later, so I called my salary. She never called me back. Come to find out, if you don't take it on that date, someone else gets it and you wait another month. Really. A month later, I thought I was finally going to get the remainder of my order. Nope. It was accidentally deleted in the system. Just a whole bunch of issues. I had to go in to the store, request a Manager, which seemed like you were requesting to talk to the President of the US. Long story short, months later and tons of trouble later, I finally had my entire order. The staff is rude, a couple pieces of my furniture are already falling apart in less than a year, and the whole thing was a complete pain and took up so much of my time. Still waiting for a sincere apology. That would have made all the difference.

I purchased a sectional and after it was delivered, I noticed about 2 weeks later that a nail or staple had punctured through the back of the material and caused a small tear. I called Cust Svc and they told me that they would order the part and have a technician come out. I had no idea that the part was the cloth! This is so tacky and it is not fair that they do not refund anything.

Bad customers service. Bought lots of stuff from ashley Furniture store got a defected bed frame. And one of the mattress that i bought cost 2, ,000 thousands and it supposed to be firm like I tried it in the store but it not. Very soft and sinking. Called the customer service but they all denied and had sent several technique to check, one said it wrong matress and one said this is not the right one. But when the customer service called back they were saying the mattress is not defect. How ever the mattress I bought it discontinued what a coincidence I just bought it within 2 weeks. How can it be.

Please do not ever buy anything from Ashley furniture. I purchased an all leather couch and love seat. We have only had it for 2 months. We have no small children in our home and the cushions look like we have had this set for 10 years. They are all lumpy and dented in. We had 2 people come and look at this and of course they say it is normal wear and tear. Customer service was very abrupt and rude. They are doing nothing about this and this set cost 3,000.

Ashley furniture is complete crap! All of the furniture we bought was broken within 2 years. The finish rubbed off of the tables with the lightest of touch. The sleeper sofa collapsed, the springs pulled the frame apart on the chair, and the arm broke off of the love seat. I will never give Ashley another cent.

I wish I had read the reviews before I bought. Being that I was from out of town (purchasing furniture in Ft. Myers,Fl) I called to make sure that the pieces I had seen online would be available immediately. I was told not a problem because they had a big warehouse in Ft. Lauderdale. Purchased and paid for furniture and set up delivery 6 days later. Day before the sleeper couch was to be delivered I was told that it was given to someone else because even if they purchased it after me that if they wanted and earlier delivery date they would get the couch.They sold the same couch twice. I was called the day after the couch (Sat.) was to be delivered and told that they had a couch and it would be delivered on Tues. Sent my real estate agent over to wait for the never came and they didn't even bother to let me know...Needless to say they are now saying that the couch is back-ordered and won't be in for 3 more weeks. The sales people at Ashley will do anything for a sale.All I can say is buyer beware...stay away from Ashley!

We purchased a brown leather living room set about six months ago. About 3 months after purchase, we could see that the coloring was coming off. You could tell exactly where I had been sitting. I could expect this discoloration after several years but not after 3 months. I had two tecnicians come out and both said it was normal wear. I asked the second tecnician if he had seen many couches with this problem. I stated he had not seen any. My next question was "If you have not seen any, then how can you tell the difference between normal wear and a manufacturer defect. He had no answer. Surprise. The company has refused to do anything. In our city, we have a county mediation service which Ashley has refused to respond too. My next step is to take them to Small Claims Court. I just mailed my intent to Ashley. I should be fair in saying that the store manager and sales person have been sympathetic but say it has to go through customer service in Phoenix. I feel that even if I loose, I have still caused some inconvenience to the company.

DON'T DEAL WITH ASHLEY AND TAKE CITIBANK NO INTEREST FOR 36 MONTH DEAL! What a ripoff - Two days late and you get the 0% interest taken away and (believe it) 98% APR - and I have over 715 credit rating.

Today is 1-24-09, we were looking for bedroom furniture and I had read all the bad comments abaout Ashley furniture store. At first I believed some of it but not the one of how they talk to the customer. My husband and I went in to the Ashley furniture store at Arlington TX. and a sales man said hi guys how are you. My husband said that is not the proper way to talk to a customer. The sales man said if you don't like how you are being treated you can just leave. Not even ten steps into the store and we left. So believe all the comments.

I am VERY unhappy with a chair I bought from Ashley and the response from customer service is ridiculous. How you think you can rip people off with inferior products is beyond me, and I don't appreciate being talked to like I'm an idiot. I am a college graduate and I hope not teaching one of your children.
Fading in 10 months is not something I did. There are 2 adults who live in this house and we work all day, so you do the math as to how much use that chair has gotten. As was suggested to me, NOTHING has been put on that chair in the way of a cleaning. Why would I do also suggested. Sure I got all kinds of warranties, but they include everything except fabric fading which leads me to believe I have been nothing but deceived. I'm sure, as usual, you will do nothing about this complaint except maybe say you're sorry (not acceptable) and I will do everything in my power to discredit Ashley Furniture. I will tell every one I know what a ridiculous rip off your store is and how you DO NOT back up inferior merchandise. Too bad, I thought you were a quality store.

I purchased a recliner and couch from Ashley's Furniture and had nothing but trouble from day 1. I tried to resolve the problem with them but they do not stand behind their products. They were rude and did not stand behind their arrantee. I complained 6 weeks after I got the set and they stalled and procrastinated and gave the worst excuses for not wanting to do something about it. I am planning on taking them to small claims court to resolve the problem. They were very arrogant and told me they never lost a case. If anyone can tell me if they evr had the same experience and took them to court, I would appreciate if you would let me know what the end result was.MFy e-mail is
