Extremely Poor Customer Service - Durapella Love Seat


My fiance and I recently purchased a living room package at Ashley. We bought the extended warranty plan and decided to pick up the furniture at their warehouse. We were told by the salesperson that pickups will be charge $5 for loading and tieing down of product in your truck. We picked up the furniture, they loaded it, and told us we were good to go. I asked if it was secure and the man said yes. Not 2 miles down the road the love seat fell off and sustained some torn places on the back. The men never tied the furniture down. We contacted Ashley right away and were given the run around. 2 days later we were contacted and told they would do nothing for us, except sell us another love seat at a discount. They informed us it was our responsibility to secure the product and that the salesperson who told us otherwise was wrong. But they dont take responsibility for what their salespeople say, even if they blatantly lie. I was told that it would take no more than $150 to fix the tears by Ashley but they still care more about their profits than taking care of thier customers. I highly recommend never shopping at this establishment, they only care about your money.

Buyer Beware!! Don't Do business with them! My mom & I bought furniture from this store & were told we could have it delivered on the same truck for one delivery charge ($130.) since we live in the same condo complex, just 2 buildings apart. When furniture arrived they refused to deliver to 2 separate addresses. I called the sales rep April Whitworth who told me she had talked to her DM prior to the sale and it should be ok. She said she would call Pat in Cust Svc (866-268-6559) & get it straightened out. She never called back and when I called her back "Charlotte" answered the phone told me she had just left for the day!?! I asked to speak with a manager who never came to the phone. After holding for an eternity, I hung up and called back. They would not answer the phone!!!! I tried calling a dozen times, even tried calling from another phone (my cell) to no avail. This is the WORST Customer Service I have ever experienced. I should have listened to my haridresser when she told me her horror story about this same company. FYI- heatherhealey- ALL of Ashley's comforters are DRY CLEAN ONLY. Did you even read the tag before stuffing it in your dryer? Obviously not!

My sister and I purchased a dining room table and two end tables and a coffee table. My sister had already had a bad experience with them, but I convenced her to give them another try. We had them put right on the contract no defective or scratched furniture. When the tables arrives, they had something that looked like oil stains on them. We contacted Ashley and they said they would send a tech out on Wednesday. No one ever showed, so we called them again and they said they did not have us scheduled to receive a visit. Finally on Friday, they sent a tech out. He took something like a brillo pad, scraped the table (made it worse)and left. We called Ashley again. They said they would have to send another tech out to take pictures. They sent the same guy. This time he sprayed some shiney stuff and took a picture. When the shiney stuff dried the oil stain and scratch were back. I have contacted managers and they say it does not meet factory specifications to be exchanged. I am at my wits end. I went online and found thousands of complaints about the furniture and poor customer service.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY SELL EXPENSIVE JUNK AND THEY WON'T MAKE IT RIGHT. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN.

They've called my husband and I a liar 3 times, and lied to us about our furniture, and was overall the worst customer service ever. Not only are we out over $1000, but our vinyl couch, which we were told was leather, is ruined, and I won't furniture in my home until I can afford it again. I wander how they sleep at night knowing that millions of the their customers are without furniture because they either failed to deliver and still bill you, or it doesn't last longer than the payments? And on top of that, "rude" is a very big understatement of our customer service we recieved. It was like they planned it that way, to make us feel stupid, so they can have the $3 million dollar mansion in California with a pool and all that great fancy stuff. Next time, I'd rather go to goodwill to buy my furniture. My husband's furniture was from goodwill from a few years back. His ex has it now, but guess what? It's still usable! I will make sure I will let everyone know the quality of our furniture, the many attempts for it be fixed and the very very poor customer service, in which my husband and I have been called a liar at least 3 times. I hope the contractor that came to look at the furniture the first time, got paid, because they have no record of it. Oh wait, nevermind. He probably did and is sitting infront of 60 inch plasma tv eating his precious bon bons. It's the customers Ashley Furniture hates and refuses to please.

Ashley comforter melted in the dryer
My two week old Ashley comforter melted in the dryer. I was very surprised and shocked to find a melted comforter in the dryer. Goes to show that Ashley does not use fire-retardent materials. Thank God we diden't have a fire. The comforter would have melted itself to my skin. I will never buy Ashley Furniture products again.
